You can also ask yourself, “If I currently make one sale for every twenty customers I talk to, how can I make more sales? How can I make more money from these sales?”
Will you sell more expensive products? Will you be more successful in closing sales? Will you make more cold calls? Will you ask for referrals? Will you call previous customers again? Creating a more specific goal with targets will jumpstart your brain into coming up with better and more creative ideas.
It may take you some time to really clarify your goals, to understand what you want, why you want it, and how you will get there.
That is why some success coaches recommend that instead of following the motto, “Ready! Aim! Fire!” we may need to revise that motto a bit.
Sometimes we need to use the other motto, “Ready! Fire! Aim!”
You need to learn to blend your goals and your actions together.
