Do you have an inner critical voice inside of you?

This inner critical voice can destroy our confidence in our abilities.  It can even tell us that we have no right to dream.

The ironic thing is that even though our inner critic often seems to be acting against our best interests, it’s really a part of us that is trying in its own way to be helpful. This part of us is trying to save us from embarrassment or failure.  It does this by relentlessly criticizing us and forecasting doom every time we even think of acting in a new way.

Your inner critic isn’t likely to just disappear.  Even though you probably can’t get rid of your inner critic, you can learn how to live in greater harmony with this inner voice.  You can take steps to ensure that your inner critic does not become the boss of your life.

If you don’t find a way to deal with your inner critic successfully, you may be doomed to be a passive part time actor in the movie of your life instead of being the star.

The following article by Valery Satterwhite will give you more insight into how you can deal with your inner critic and improve your confidence.
